(Rainbow) Bright This Way

What to do when the temperature drops but you still want to wear your pretty summer dresses? You use creative layering! I really wanted to wear my rainbow-striped dress today, but knew I'd need to get creative so I added a black long-sleeve tee underneath and black tights for that extra layer of warmth. It does not take away from the dress in the slightest because I layered under it as opposed to over it. I actually think the bright colours pop out even more against an all black backdrop. I kept the bright colour theme going strong with my outdoor layers by opting for a cobalt blue bell-sleeve coat and an equally bright cobalt blanket scarf. I admit the two prints makes for a busy look, but I just went with it. Go bold or go home, right?
