Bold jewel hues and metallics are having a moment this fall, so being the overachiever that I am, I decided to combine the two trends into one statement-making outfit! I opted for this plum ribbed sweater dress and decided to pair it with matching tights. I was going for the monochromatic match. I assure you that, in person, the two shades are actually more similar than they appear in the pictures. That being said, I am aware that it's a lot of purple all at once. That is why I decided to add the metallic booties and belt, to try and break things up a bit and give the look more structure. I really love the button detailing on the dress and wanted to offset the military vibe by being bold and creative. For the outside look, I added a structures black cape and fun scalloped floppy hat. I find the final look to have both childlike and modern woman qualities. My aunt always says that I'm a "colourful" person, so this outfit is definitely proof of that! I never shy away from a bold colour and statement pieces!
