Plaid About You

Today's look is totally inspired by the 90s grunge style. There is just something about wearing this long, neutral plaid shirt open. I decided to layer it with a silk cami underneath and a long cardigan over it. I stuck with the muted palette and finished with dark jeans and booties. There is nothing revolutionary about this combination, but I find the mix of textures and flannel plaid gives off that effortless, comfortable look. I obviously updated the trend by using current pieces and am happy with the resulting mash up. In keeping with the 90s theme, has anybody picked up the sitcom reference in my blog title? As a kid, I remember the babysitter letting us stay up longer just to watch Mad About You. We didn't get many channels back in the day (living in the country and only having a TV antenna on the house...) so I tend to remember the few shows we did get, because we watched them all the time. This was one of them and I figured I'd stay on theme and give my post a punny title and see if anybody would pick up on it!

Should you want to recreate my look, I've linked some budget-friendly options below.
