Vacation - Nothing Short of Amazing

In today's post, I'm rounding up all the short looks. I typically wear these casual looks for breakfast and walking around, exploring the resorts. For some reason, I like to get dressed for breakfast instead of heading to the restaurant in a swimsuit cover-up. It just feels right to me. I know that some people couldn't be bothered with the extra outfit change, but I'm all about that Victorian lifestyle! I like to live it up on vacay and think I'm on some kind of famous person. Evita's Rainbow Tour, anyone?

First up is this basic shorts and t-shirt look in a blue palette with black accents. I like the simplicity of the knotted tee and like how the flip flops, hat, glasses and necklace help give the look structure and continuity. Also, a pouch or clutch is a must have to complete any vacation look. I use mine for the essentials (phone, money, key cards, lip balm, sunnies, etc.) Plus, if you can find one with a witty saying, even better! I sure Carpe(d) those diems!

This one is slightly inspired by all the lush greenery on the resort. I layered a couple camisoles in different shades of green and paired them with denim shorts. I kept the accessories to a minimum, but did included my pineapple earrings! I really got a lot of wear out of this pair and think they are the perfect addition to any beachy look. Mirrored sunnies add a dose of fun to the look and give you that slight cool-factor. Although, if I'm being honest, being "cool" has never really been in my wheelhouse. I like to think I'm cool, but I'm really not...

The Panama hat and the breezy, open, striped shirt are giving me major Cuban vibes right now. Add in some gelato-inspired pastels to the palette and you end up with a perfectly balanced summery look. I could totally see myself re-wearing this look for strolling down the cobbled street in Italy. Coral was a big part of my capsule wardrobe palette for this trip and I love how I can easily mix and match it to many other colours to keep my looks fresh and fun!

My final look is all about this watercolour top! I got this top a few years back and find myself pulling it out anytime I think of a sunny adventure. The coral and turquoise palette is both soothing and refreshing. The fluidity of the draped section really adds movement to the look. I wanted to let the top be the statement piece, so I paired it with solid-coloured items in matching colours. There is no need to overcomplicate vacation looks. After all, you are meant to be relaxing, so effortless dressing is key!

This wraps up my vacation posts. I hope you've enjoyed reading through them this week and are feeling inspired for spring! It won't be too long now... Hopefully!
