Date Night Dots

My fiancé suggested we go out to dinner last weekend. It was a spur of the moment decision, so I just threw together a casual outfit. He found a cute little restaurant in a quaint nearby town. The food was great and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. I had the tuna tacos to start and followed with the quinoa lentil croquettes stuffed with goat's cheese. We then shared the salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious! I like doing last minute outings like this, it spices things up!

It was a really beautiful day, so I decided to wear shorts for the first time this year. I chose to have fun with my look and opted for polka dots and a printed camisole. I also decided to wear a lacey bralette that peaks out from the cami for a bit of added flair. The things is, the colour of the bralette is very close to my skin tone at the moment, so it's a little hard to see in the pictures. Not that that's a bad thing! I also added matching accessories with the blush flats and sueded bag. I put on a bit of make-up and wore little opal earrings. I did bring a denim jacket with me to keep the evening chills at bay. It's always nice to have a back-up at this time of year because the weather can change on a dime! I realize that practically my entire outfit is from Old Navy. I find myself drawn to their basics and they tend to have trendy accessories at a reasonable price point. It's definitely a go-to of mine! Most things are recent, but the camisole is from a couple years ago, so I liked similar styles in the widget below.
