I am stepping up my layering game a whole notch today and adding a blazer over my classic blouse-and-sweater combo. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous the entire thing would be too bulky, but it worked! I knew this blazer was a bit roomier, and I made sure to select a thin blouse and thinner sweater. I've always liked the look of a sweater under a blazer, but it's a tricky thing to wear in the real world. I think it really comes down to the total thickness of the fabrics at play. Opt for thinner sweaters and roomier blazers. Another work around would be to choose a sleeveless blouse or even a dickey. These tricks would help you achieve the look while eliminating some of the bulk. While you could choose a sleek neutral colour palette, I decided to mix things up with a statement plaid blazer and added a sparkly headband and bow pumps. I'm really feeling this look, what do you think?
