How perfect that I got to wear a gown this close to the coronation? I'm tapping into that regal energy and really soaking it in, ha ha! I mean, the "gown" I'll be wearing on Saturday will likely be a fuzzy pink wrap style mostly worn around the house. Same energy, different dress code. I will, however, be sporting some fancy headwear.
As I mentioned in this post, I had gotten this gown years ago on clearance without any occasion to wear it. It's been sitting in my closet for the better part of three years, but the time had finally come, a black-tie gala! I paired it with simple metallic sandals and matching clutch. I've had this clutch for so long I can't remember where it's from and there's no tag on it... The wristlet strap meant I could carry it and still have my hands free. I also dug out some statement earrings that barely see the light of day and finished off with my Pandora bracelet. I did also add a hint of bling to my hair with a pearl pony tail holder. It felt so nice to get dressed up, I just love going all out! Can't wait to pull out this dress for another outing at some point.
