No Buttons to See Here!

If you follow me on social media, this costume probably does not come as a surprise to you. I decided months ago that I would dress up as Coraline this year. Deciding early meant I had plenty of time to prepare.

I'd been wanting a yellow rain coat for years now and needing to get one for the costume tuned  out to be the perfect excuse! Seeing as I will be wearing this coat again, I decided to get a good one. I am so pleased with this coat and look forward to wearing it all the time. It's the perfect match for my yellow boots (which I've had for years now).

I already had a lot of pieces to put this costume together. Other than the rain coat, I needed a pink and coral striped top. Not the easiest colour combination to find. I searched high and low until I came across this top on Poshmark. It's a Lululemon running top from 2013! Not only were the colours a match but I would get to wear it for actual runs. I've been wanting to get more long-sleeved running shirts, so this was a perfect purchase. Two birds, one stone!

Finally, my hairdresser had a blue wig she wasn't going to use and remembered me saying I was going to be Coraline for Halloween so she gave it to me. How amazing is that? The last missing touch was the dragonfly hair clip which was an Amazon purchase. Oh, I also decided to paint my nails blue because, you know, details matter! I already had this nail polish so it was an easy decision.

I'm so happy with the way this outfit turned out and had been looking forward to wearing it for months now, ha ha! The best part is that every item I purchased can be worn again, except maybe the blue wig. I mean, I suppose it could also work for a Sadness costume...
