ONE // Pearl Bow Claw Clip
We all know I'm a big fan of bows and like to include them in my style as much as I can. Well, when I saw this pearl bow claw clip, I knew it was an immediate add-to-cart. Claw clips can be so classy and practical. I wear them all the time! Pearls are also a bit of a signature of mine, so this item is basically three Mimi-coded things wrapped in one. It's the perfect purchase and will be sure to dress up all of my holiday looks!
TWO // Hot Frosty
The queen of Hallmark Christmas movies is taking over Netflix, too! I could not wait to watch this movie! I'd known about it since the spring because it was filming nearby. I always love watching Lacey Chabert movies and she's a mainstay at Hallmark. I've also enjoyed the odd Netflix Christmas movie these last few years so was hoping for a good one. Well, Hot Frosty hit all the marks! We've got romance, classic Christmas hijinx, goofy police side characters and the cheesiness and heart I've come to love about seasonal movies. There's even a Pretty Woman reference in there! To me, there were elements of Frosty the Snowman, Home Alone and Elf. It ultimately leaves you with that warm fuzzy feeling - which is what I want in a Christmas movie! I'm thinking this one might become a mainstay of Christmas movies alongside other classics. Only time will tell, but I see myself watching this one again and again!
THREE // Red Striped Tunic Sweater
I really thought I'd wear this sweater more often than I did this fall, but I somehow didn't. Not to worry, it's perfect for the holidays, too! I love wearing bright red around Christmas time and this sweater is a great way to add that pop of colour without it being overbearing. I love the slouchy, oversized fit of the sweater and its cozy turtleneck. It's such a great sweater to wear casually at home or to the office with some great styling. It's such a great option for a Christmas sweater without being a Christmas sweater, if that makes sense. I'm planning on wearing it throughout our holiday activities!
FOUR // Tea Latte Treat
I was having a rough day earlier this week, so decided to get some fresh air on my lunch break. I'd been wanting to check out the Christmas bath bomb selection at Lush, so walked to the mall. I spent a good amount of time looking at all the festive offerings, and smelling every one of them! Lush always delivers in the variety of seasonal products - always some classics with new stuff every year. I also got to smell the new Wicked line of products and there are some good ones; my favourite being the Elphaba bath bomb! I got a bag full of goodies and the aromatherapy lifted my spirits! Not to mention the mall had decorated for the holidays, so the sparkly décor made me smile, too. I then decided to keep in the treat yourself mindset and decided to get a Candy Cane Crush tea latte from David's Tea. This is the only physical location left in town, so I took advantage of that. I had more of a skip in my step on my walk back to the office with my goodies in hand. I can't tell if it was the fresh air, the exercise, the aroma therapy, the Christmas decorations or the tea - but I felt better after my lunch break!
FIVE // Christmas Cards
Even though the postal service is on strike, I'm going to start making my Christmas cards and hope that I'll end up sending them off to friends and family this year. If not, I suppose I can stash them away until next year. Either way, I'll be getting my Christmas crafting on! I only got so far as taking out all of my supplies and am embracing the chaos of scrapbooking. It always looks messy but the results are pretty. I'll be sure to show you them once they are finished. But first, I need to actually start them...
