Trying to get inspired for today's outfit and it was not happening. So, I reverted to a tried and true strategy - a monochromatic look with a fun outer layer. I opted for brown from head to toe, varying from chocolate to cognac. I then topped off the neutral look with a warm-coloured plaid cape. It felt like the perfect addition and it really competed the outfit and took the whole thing up a notch. I love having basic neutrals in my closet for moments like these. Not every outfit is a creative masterpiece, but such is life. Trust the process.
