It's so hot I decided I was wearing denim shorts to work. I did still want to style them in a more upscale way, to look put together. I chose my darker pair for a start, dark denim always comes across as more polished. I then added a very colourful floral blousy top. I finished with pink drop earrings, a yellow hair bow and matching Mary-Jane espadrilles. I think I managed to make my shorts look and feel less casual. I know this is not an option for many office dress codes, but mine is more relaxed so I have a bit more leeway. I rarely dress very casually, but do wear jeans often. This is just a summer version of something I would wear in colder weather. It's easier to dress jeans up with a shirt and blazer, though. There's one for the plus column of layering!
