Falling for Kate

Today's dress is not quite floral, but the same principle applies. It's a navy print dress, so a great transitional piece for fall. I added a mossy-green cardigan to the look and finished off with pewter flats. The metallic tone of the flats and the warmer hue of the sweater really bring the look into fall. It's crazy how some colour combinations really change a basic piece. At first, I wouldn't have normally paired this dress and sweater, but the colours complement each other so well! I could even wear this look later on with metallic booties, tights and a blanket scarf. Try stepping outside of your colour comfort zone and match unexpected hues. They might be surprisingly perfect!
