For some reason, I always find myself wanting to wear my bell-bottom jeans in the fall. I can't explain it, but I think it has to do with the colour palette I naturally gravitate to in the season. It reminds me of some of the more popular colours of the seventies. Maybe my mind links the two? Anyways, all that to say that I wanted to post a throwback bell-bottom look. I had kept it basic by only adding black elements. The bell-sleeve top would actually be right on trend for this year and the black wedges are an updated version of classic seventies footwear. I tend to wear bigger, chunkier shoes with these jeans as I find the shoes have to live up to the boldness of the hems. I think I could have worn this just as well forty years ago as I could today. Now that is what I call timeless style!
