Short & Sweet

Wearing tights with your shorts is a great way to get more wear out of them come fall. I've been using this trick for years and love the interest it creates! You can have fun with mixing colours and patterns or you can stick to a monochrome palette to elongate the leg, while still getting bonus style points. In today's look, I opted to wear grey tights with my navy sailor shorts. For once, the look created with these shorts is not a nautical one! My palette is soft and feminine and the final look is giving me all the doll vibes. This is not a usual feel for my outfits, but I'm really loving the unexpected vintage doll feel of the final look. The lace blouse with pleated collar and the blush cardigan all add to the sweetness factor while the pointed-toe booties and shorts give it a hint of trendiness. This look might appear all sugar, but it has a little spice too!
