Mimi Takes Five - #40

ONE // Pretty Pins
I've been following the Nutmeg and Arlo Instagram for some while now and absolutely love her stuff! It's the cutest little pins and she has a lot of Harry Potter themed items, which I happen to love! Each pin is as cute as the next and I want to get them all! But, I have to be reasonable and decided to start with a few basics. I chose a couple subtle Harry Potter gems, the love letter and the lemon! Seeing as I made my purchase during a promo, I got the bonus Luna Spectrespecs as a gift with purchase! These are the most precious things and are full-on Harry Potter, but only the real fans will recognize them at first sight! I can't wait to adorn all of my jackets, sweaters, vests, you name it with these little gems!

TWO // Sailor Pants
I've been a lover of the nautical style for as long as I can remember and have been searching high and low for a decent pair of black sailor pants. I lucked out this year at Banana Republic and found the perfect skinny pair! These are exactly what I imagined and the quality is top notch. I got so much wear out of my navy sailor shorts last summer that I know I'll be wearing these pants a lot! I'm already planning a bunch of outfits!

THREE // The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
I have been living under a rock because I only found out about this amazing series a few weeks ago! The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is exactly the type of show I live for and this one delivers! From the fashion to the humour and the setting, there is nothing not to love! I mean even her name is the same as mine! Trust me, it's rare! I totally identify with the character and I can't get enough. I've already watched both seasons and am itching for the third to come out. After all, Rachel Brosnahan is Kate Spade's niece and the series is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino (who also did Gilmour Girls and Bunheads), so there is really no better show/viewer match out there for me!

FOUR // Nautical Jewelry
Staying on the nautical theme, I couldn't resist these matching earrings and cuff from Old Navy! The silver jewelry wrapped in a white and blue ribbon is simply darling. I will definitely have plenty of opportunities to wear these with my various nautical stylings! Simple pieces are sometimes the best and most versatile pieces. I think I'll have these for a while!

FIVE // Heart Print Scarf
I've been stocking this scarf and waiting for a sale to snag it! I fell in love with the red heart print on it and have a fascination for printed bandana scarves so I was longing to add this whimsical one to my collection. It's from Banana Republic, but has that Kate Spade vibe that I'm all about! Hearts aren't just for Valentine's Day; I plan on wearing this scarf all year round!
