Statement Neutrals

Black and white, but make it exciting! I love wearing black and white outfits, but I'm more inspired to wear them in the winter, because, layers. Lately, I've been overdressing and getting too warm. It's been a mild winter, but I'm still dressing for the usual frigid temps we get. I've really got to actually look at the weather before dressing, because it's been overkill these last couple weeks. Anyways, today's look is a good, warm, actually-feels-like-winter look. I layered this oversized sweater over my bell-sleeve striped dress. I've really loved pairing this sweater with other statement-sleeve garments for some super-dimensional layers. Add in glitter tights for pizzazz, a pendant necklace to elongate the silhouette, a velvet bow to tame the hair and big, chunky winter boots to trek through the snow. There you have it: an equally functional and fashionable winter outfit. Just make sure it actually feels cold out when you wear it...
