ByWard Bites Tasting Tour

Last week, I was lucky enough to take part in the inaugural ByWard Bites Lunch Tour offered by Ottawa Tasting Tours. It's a new concept that explores a variety of tasty eats from the ByWard Market. You get to discover the beauty and history of the market by walking around and stopping at a bunch of different places for some tasty treats, varying from sweet to savory and spanning the cultural gamut! We got to sample delicacies ranging from parmigiano reggiano, to macarons, to tacos, to sushi and candied nuts; just to name a few! I discovered so many cute spots that I will definitely be returning to to get my fix of yummy foods. The concept of the tour is a great one as it keeps you moving throughout, which is a good thing because those little bites sure add up! Don't fret, the sample add up to a substantial meal! It's a fantastic way of discovering (or rediscovering) the ByWard Market while being a social event perfect to do with friends and family.
