A Dress After my Own Heart!

I present to you the perfect Valentine's Day dress! It's entirely covered in little red hearts and has the most previous knot detail at the chest and asymmetric flounce hem. I pulled the colour palette directly form the dress and added red and beige accessories to drive the point home. I was able to convince my own Valentine to brave the cold and snow to capture this look and it's the small things like these that make my heart flutter! He's a keeper!

While I'll be the first to admit that a trench coat and pumps is not ideal winter wear (not at all, actually), they were part of the lewk, so I wore them anyways. This exact look would work very well in a slightly warmer climate, but I had winter boots in the care and did a quick change following the shoot. The things I do for the blog...

Back to the look. I didn't add anymore heart things to the outfit because the dress already has plenty. However, I did add little bows with the shoes and earrings. I belted the dress with a beige and gold metal belt, then, I matched the gold hardware of the bag to the earring and belt. The trench adds a necessary layer of neutral to keep the look from erring into that over-the-top territory. This would be the perfect look for a Valentine's Day dinner date with your loved one.

No matter your plans today, whether it be with your partner, you best gal pal, your family, your pet or just some you time, I hope you have a pleasant day filled with love. Oh, and chocolate! Can't forget that bit!
