Layering does not have to make you look frumpy. Playing with proportions, textures and colours add interest to your layered look without weighing you down. In today's look, I took a navy floral print summer maxi dress and styled it for fall by adding a suede moto jacket, some booties and burgundy accessories. The print and skirt of the dress are on full display and this is achieved by adding a cropped jacket. I wore the jacket open and added a burgundy pashmina scarf along with a cross-body purse and felt cloche hat. The burgundy and grey help anchor the look by bringing in moodier hues. With the hands-free bag, this would be the ideal look for running errands or doing some Christmas shopping, you know, when you end up going in and out of stores all day. The more I look at this outfit, the more I like it!
