Can one wear a white floral dress in November? Why, yes! Not that I need an excuse to wear a Nap Dress, but I do challenge myself to style them in ways that make them work for all seasons. I just have this thing with maximizing my wardrobe, you know? Well, today I decided to take my most summery dress and make it work for fall. Layering is obviously the solution, but I opted for black on black to really give it a moody, seasonal vibe. I started with the black turtleneck and added black tights. Even though you don't see the tights because of the OTK boots, they were necessary to make the base layer uniform as the black turtleneck created a shadow under the dress. Not a big deal as we are well and truly into tights weather and the more layers the better! I then added a suede cut-out obi belt for more definition and topped it off with a black cape and burgundy cloche. I love that the details and print of the dress remain the star of the show, but the styling makes it work for a colder November day.
