Mimi Takes Five - #173

ONE // Knitted Headband
Those who's been following me for a while undoubtedly know that I am a big (huge) headband fanatic. As much as I love my go-to knotted 'bands to complete any and all outfits, I do also happen to like the knitted variety for colder temperatures. I used to have a similar beige jewelled headband, but recently got this thick knitted one. It's the perfect cozy accessory for all your fall and winter looks. I'm always on the hunt for creative ways of keeping my ears warm without sacrificing my hairstyles. Ponytails and buns are definitely part of my winter hairdos, so headbands are a must in my accessory arsenal.

TWO // Derry Girls
I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but it's been on my Netflix list for a while. I recently just rewatched the entire Downton Abbey series in preparation for the second movie, as one does. I actually powered through that in record time if I'm being honest... It just confirmed that I still love it as much as I did when watching it the first time. Naturally, I was looking for something a little more light-hearted and landed on Derry Girls. I love that it's set in the 1990s, the music and styles are oh so familiar to me, ha ha! Nostalgia will do that. I hear there's a third season in the works, so I'll have that to look forward to in the future.

THREE // Marbled Leggings
I'm not sure what I actually wear the most between leggings and Nap Dresses these days, but they are definitely neck and neck, ha ha! I got this pair of blue marbled leggings at the end of the summer and I am in love with them. They are the same style as a few other pairs I have from Old Navy and I find them to be both very comfortable and functional for working out. I already had plenty of tops that would match the colour palette so I got them. I did hesitate a little between the blue and purple colourways, but I'm happy I ultimately went with the blue. The gold shimmer veining really glams them up and who doesn't want to shine brighter when working out?

FOUR // And Just Like That
We finally have a preview and a release date for the Sex and the City spin-off! December 9th is the day!!! I am beyond excited to be reunited with Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda (although I will miss Samantha...) Oh, and most of all, I'm excited for the *fashion*! Like, I'm ready for the inexhaustible source of inspiration and style that I loved so much from SATC. It will be great to dive back into that New York state of mind and live vicariously through the characters. I just can't wait!

FIVE // Tartan Scarf
It's no secret that I love any and all things tartan. Once fall rolls around, I bust out all the plaid flannels and checked blanket scarfs to layer to my heart's content. I'm not one known for splurging on high-end designer gear, but I do like some of the styles. I happen to like the Burberry tartan, for one, and came across this gorgeous scarf in a very similar style at an affordable price point this past fall, so I scooped it up. I found it in one of my favourite little local boutiques and was thrilled. I can dream of one day owning the real deal, but for now will wear this beauty for as long as I can. The red in the pattern makes it a perfect accessory for the festive season!
