Back to School

Today is officially the back-to-school day! At least it is where I work... I thought I'd wear a typical back-to-school look because the inspiration hit hard! The first item I chose was this striped slogan tee that totally reminds me of lined paper! The embroidered "merci" just drives the point home. To me, this shirt is as close as it gets to wearing a notebook. I then paired it with a pleated skirt (totally reminds me of the typical school uniforms) except mine is faux leather to give it some edge. Obviously, I threw on a denim jacket because it's such a school closet staple and I've been wearing them non-stop lately. I finished the outfit with pops of red: a beret topper, a swipe of bold lipstick and my trusty flats. Oh, statement earrings for a dose of fun and I am ready for my classroom close-up! This is exactly what I would wear if I was actually going back to school. Now, I just get to play dress-up and look the part without actually having to do any homework. Adult win!
