One of my first ever heroines as a little girl was Anne of Green Gables. To this day, I still relate to this character. Anne was a strong, independent, smart girl who knew her own mind but was not afraid of dreaming. She was grounded, yet had her head in the clouds. Ever since I got my emerald gingham Nap Dress, I can't disassociate it from Anne. Once I made the link, that was it. This will always and forever be my Anne of Green Gables dress. I styled it in a very autumnal/Anne colour palette today with a brown cardigan sweater, and orange beret and purse. I even have a crown braid in my hair, but it's hidden by the beret. It's all in the details!
