Up until now the summer heat had been somewhat bearable. Not any more. We are experiencing one (of what I predict to be a few) heatwaves of the year. While I like clement weather, the key word here is clement. I do not fare well in 40° temperatures with the humidity index off the charts. This is extreme and straight up uncomfortable. I can wear the lightest, breeziest dress and still sweat buckets standing in the shade. Not cool. I tried my best to dress appropriately for work in a heat wave. I was a sweaty mess by the time I got to my bus stop and my curls had completely fallen... Not to mention the frizz, the constant blotting with kleenex and the improvised fan with my purse notebook. Seriously, how can anyone actually enjoy this weather? After today, I am more than ready for fall and I don't care who feels offended by that sentiment.
