Going for a simple, monochromatic, neutral summer look today. I started with my beige basketweave print dress and decided to layer this eyelet puff-sleeve top over it. I don't often wear layers over a dress in the summer months, but I'm loving the effect of a lightweight white blousy top over a dress with a more voluminous skirt. It helps, create balance in the overall silhouette, not to mention would be a great trick to make a strappy dress more office appropriate. We have more options than just cardigans and blazers. I finished off with a burlap headband, pearl earrings and strappy white sandals. And there you have it, a simple summer look styled in a creative manner.
