The ultimate vacation wear is definitely the swimsuit! I've gathered all of my beach/pool side looks in one massive post. I've broken things up by swimsuit, that way the widgets are more specific to a certain style and in turn make your shopping experience more straightforward. Let's dive-in, shall we?

TBT - Blue Moon
Today's look is a basic one. I wasn't feeling too, too inspired that morning. I knew I'd be walking around a lot, so I wanted something comfortable and practical. I wore baby blue pants with a grey t-shirt and accessorized with black flats and a light grey fringe bag. It was simple, but functional. Sometimes, that's all you can really hope to achieve with a look. Today was one of those days...

Trippy Trolls
So my partner decided to be spontaneous and go to the movies last weekend. We have very different tastes in movies, so actually going to the cinema is a rare occurrence. We were scrolling through the movie listings and everything we wanted to see only started the following week... We somehow decided on Trolls. I was then inspired by the colourful, glittery beings for my outfit. I opted for a light pink metallic t-shirt, distressed denim, shiny booties and a cozy blanket scarf, because I always get chilly in the theater. A quick swipe of pink lipstick and a messy topknot finished the look. The movie was definitely interesting to say the least. We did have some good laughs, but it kind of gave off a "smurfs on acid" vibe at times...

Fall Favourites
Fall calls for plaid blanket scarves, chunky knit sweaters, suede and leopard! This outfit contains all of the above. I love how the accessories elevate the basic outfit to a fall-worthy look. This outfit mixes textures and prints in a cohesive way that gives off that cozy vibe all while keeping you warm and stylish. Just because the temperature is dropping, it does not mean that style has to be compromised. I wore this to run a few errands and stop at a new chocolate place to try their chocolate dipped ice-cream cones. There are 12 different chocolate coatings to choose from! I had the s'mores flavor and it was amazing! A real decadent treat! Jeans: Smart Set | Sweater: Banana Republic | Scarf: Shiraleah (Nordstrom) | Jacket: BLANKNYC (Nordstrom) | Flats: Lollipop

Proper Layer
I am beyond relieved that this monogrammed cape survived the flames. It was draped over my dress form, which was directly in front of the window of one of the worst-affected rooms. This was not an expensive cape, but it is a perfect dupe for the Burberry Prorsum colourblock cape from Fall 2014. I added the monogramming myself and it looks uncanny! This was a one in a million find and knew it would be irreplaceable. The fashion angels sure had my back on this save! This just goes to prove that its not the value of my lost clothing that upsets me, but rather the uniqueness of those special finds such as this one. A specially curated wardrobe is built over time. At least time is on my side for the rebuild.

Chambray Layer
I opted to wear my black maxi dress today. Seeing as it is sleeveless and has quite a high slit, I decided to wear my chambray shirt over top to minimize the amount of skin exposure. A hint of leg is ok, but if I was showing off the arms with that, it would be a bit much for an office setting... I finished off the look with hints of metallic in the necklace and shoes, just to add a bit more glitz to my outfit. Lastly, I grabbed my grey fringed purse, as I feel it perfectly adds that touch of casualness. Yes, I realize I have elements that make the look more casual, while others add pizzazz: it's all about balance!
