Beige, the Bright Way

This beige dress is so fun to style because it is the ultimate neutral canvas. I get to really play around with different colour combinations and it feels like new every time I wear it! Today, I opted for bright yellow and turquoise with navy to anchor things down. I don't often wear navy in the summer, but when I do, it's in small doses to add contrast and emphasis to a look. I think I nailed it in the colour department today! The more I look at this outfit, the more I like it. There's just something about it. It's a basic look with solid-colour pieces, no patterns here. And it isn't a colour-blocked look either. I think it's the fact that the details of each item are brought to the forefront. The circular bubbles of the necklace, the pleats in the dress, the thin belt that cinches the waist, the bows on the shoes and the contrast of the two blue tones. Everything seems to play a special role and work in perfect harmony.
