Evergreen Sugar Plums

Unless you've been living under a rock lately, you know that velvet is IN! I actually love this texture and am happy it's making a comeback in a huge way (and just in time for the holiday season!) I don't have a ton of velvety items, so I wanted to add a basic to my wardrobe. That's why I opted for a t-shirt instead of something more elaborate. It's an easy way to introduce the trend while keeping things simple in the styling department. If you are more adventurous, there are so many options out there from dresses, to camis, to footwear and even leggings! I really love this evergreen shade and think it will get a lot of wear these coming weeks. I can easily dress it up or down and it's a comfortable piece to wear, so that ticks all the boxes for me. Today, I paired it with printed pants, a purple cardigan and a silver glitter belt. The holidays are practically here, so I decided to add some bling and just run with it. Because of the purple, I don't think this look is overly Christmassy. But you could go the full Monty and pair this top with some burgundy bottoms and statement earrings... The possibilities are endless. And when it comes to shiny finishes this time of year, the more the merrier!
