I Said Yes to the Dress!

We had plans to hang out with a cousin today and visit a little town nearby. I had actually gone to that very same little town last weekend when dress shopping. This time, I made an appointment at another boutique and my friend was more than happy to tag along! She was not with me last weekend, so it was all new to her (and I was happy to get a second opinion). The boys had plans to do a bit of fishing, so it was a win-win situation. After the appointment (and 12 dresses later), we decided to pop into the first store to see if I could try on the dress I had fallen in love with the previous weekend. I really wanted to show it to my friend and pick her brain, now that she had a better idea of what looked good. Well, once she saw it on me, that was it! It confirmed that this was THE dress, MY dress!!! I had walked away from it six days prior, and could not stop thinking about it. The fact that I was able to get a last-minute appointment, due to a cancellation, just confirmed that it was meant to be. I actually said yes to the dress! Honestly, I did not think this process would go so smoothly. It took me 7 days from start to finish, 4 boutiques and about 45 dresses before I found the one. I even consulted with a local designer and his opinion proved very valuable to me and helped me make an informed decision. I did not set out to buy a dress today, but things have a way of working themselves out. I must admit the excitement and exhilaration upon purchasing the dress of my dreams was a rush like none other! I am still riding the high! As for any details, you'll have to wait and see!

Now for what I wore. It was a cold and rainy day, so I opted for leggings, a sweater, a blanket scarf and OTK boots. Nothing too fancy, but perfectly cozy and practical. It was an uncomplicated outfit that made getting changed easy-peasy!

Sweater: Gap | Leggings: Dynamite | Scarf: Old Navy (similar) | Earrings: Splendid Pearls (similar) | Boots: NY VIP (similar)
