Casual Meets Glam

We tried to pull together a last minute New Year's Eve get-together, but it sort of fell through and we ended up just being the two of us. It was actually perfect; I wasn't really feeling up to partying too hard. We had an intimate réveillon, played scrabble and cheered at the stroke of midnight with some bubbly. It was really nice just being the two of us because the rest of the Holidays were quite hectic. I had planned on wearing this outfit for our little party, but ended up wearing my pyjamas instead... So, I wore it the next day! It wasn't all glam, but it wasn't all casual either. Because it was a house party, I had planned something cozy, but with a bit of sparkle. The base was leggings and a sweater, but I chose an open-back sweater with chain detail for a little something extra. I added sapphire earrings, a star hair clip and metallic toe-cap flats. It would have been perfect for an easy NYE look without being too fussy of over-the-top. When in doubt though, PJs always do the trick, haha!
