TBT - Ice Queen

I had worn this icy grey look to a work Christmas party a few years back. This outfit was styled before Frozen came out but, in hindsight, I like to think it could have been inspired by the Snow Queen with its white, light grey and shimmery touches. It is definitely a winter colour palette and it's fresh and simple, yet totally festive! This dress is actually strapless, but by wearing a cardigan over top, it gives the illusion it's a skirt all while keeping me warm. The more I look at this outfit, the more I like it. I would even dare repeat this look, if only I still had the cardigan, sweater and earrings... Those pieces were unfortunate casualties of this past summer's ordeal. I'm sure I could adapt it thought and still manage to wear a very similar look. Let's see what I can come up with by getting a little creative!

Silver of Truth

It's a monochromatic kinda of day... Black and grey all the way! Today's outfit is the basic, but stepped up a notch. I wore black skinny jeans with a light grey ruffle detailed t-shirt. I thought of jazzing things up with a bit of silver here and there. In come the silver peplum top and toe-cap flats. When the light catches the hints of silver, your basic outfit really shines! Trust me, in the sun, these flats were blinding! Never mind a spring, I had shine in my step! Never underestimate the power a touch of metallic element brings to a look. A little bit of bling goes a long way, and that is the honest truth!

Plain White T

Sometimes, the simplest looks are the best! Today's look was a take on the plain white T. I added a grey military-style blazer, flared jeans and a pendant necklace. I sprinkled a bit of glam to the look with the metallic toe-cap flats. This look was perfect for a dressed-down Friday followed by an evening concert in the park. I love when outfits work for more than one occasion and can take you from the office to a night out!

As some of you might have noticed, I changed up my hair! I opted to chop off a lot of the length and try out the lob. I also went with a darker base colour and had a soft caramel balayage done to the tips. I was due for a change, and figured fall was a great time to go for it! Shout out to my sister from Liaisons Hair Studios for the awesome new do! I can always trust her judgment and creativity when it comes to changing up my look.
