Festive Ruffle

This plaid mini skirt with side-ruffle totally screams Christmas! I got it last year and still love it as much as I did the day I bought it. It's Christmassy, but at the same time can be worn throughout winter because the colours are not exclusively Christmassy. By that I mean the navy plaid is subtly festive without being pigeonholed as a Christmas item. If it was an evergreen plaid with red and gold, we might have a harder time wearing it outside of the holiday season. Anyways, to sum it up, I love this skirt and it works for holiday dressing! I paired it with a simple ivory silk camisole and a long navy cardigan sweater. I added the rubber boots because they match and were required for the forecast. It is so cold today that we actually beat a record from 1895! Winter is definitely early this year! I pulled out the big puffer coat to brave the elements. I was not expecting to have to pull out the heavy artillery quite so soon in the season!
