Glitter Lilac Trellis

I will forever love my Nap Dresses. What else would I wear on a cold winter day working from home? I opted for my Emerald Trellis dress and added a metallic lilac sweater, purple tights and a matching pendant necklace. I really like how cozy it made the dress feel and how it picked up on the subtle purple in the print. Styling it like this totally transformed the dress! The only thing I'd change if I'd worn this out of the house would be the booties. These are definitely not Canadian winter appropriate. They are not warm, waterproof or have any grip. I wore them for the look and only for the time it took to take photos. I was back in my slippers within ten minutes, ha ha! Oh, one other thing. I would consider wearing a slip or some thicker tights under the dress for an added layer of warmth and would be sure to wear a long coat. The fabric of this dress might be on the thin side for winter weather. Then again, our winters are brutal and most fabrics don't cut it, so there is no surprise there. I mean, when I really stop to think about it, this dress skirt could easily be tucked into ski pants during a polar vortex. So there you have it! The Nap Dress can be worn all year round (with a little creative layering!)
