I styled my new ribbon Ellie Nap Dress in a casual day look. While this taffeta dress is a step above my cotton and flannel Nap Dresses, I still want to get as much wear out of it as possible. That means I have to great creative with my styling. I opted to pair my fancy dress with some chocolate-brown accessories. I know that brown and black can be a tricky colour combination, but when done right, it can be amazing! I think that matching the belt and boots is how the magic happened in today's outfit. I also chose some cocoa tights that are somewhere between the dark brown and black to make it as seamless a match as possible. I topped off the outfit with a rust cardigan and matching hair bow, picking up on the shade in the print. I am so very pleased with the result of today's look! Taffeta in the day time, who knew?
