Picnic Basket

The red, the gingham, the straw bag... Somehow, I feel like I should be having a picnic in the park in this outfit. I think I'm going to have to make that happen now! I just can't get enough gingham this year, and I fear the love won't be dying out any time soon. I really love the midi length of this dress and the cute covered buttons down the front. The sweetheart neckline gives it a little vintage feel without being too revealing. All you need to do is layer a cardigan or jacket over the dress for work. I chose a bright red cardigan to match my lipstick and accessorized with my tiny sailboat earrings. I also decided on flats because it gave the entire look a bit more of a casual feel, but the dress could easily be taken up a notch with heels. My straw bag is a go-to lately and really is the perfect summer bag. This one's big enough to actually fit the contents of my purse, so that's a win for me! It's also super easy switching it up by adding a scarf for a little pop of colour. It keeps it fresh!
