Sailor Shorts

Well, today is (dare I say it?) the hottest day of the year so far. It will reach 36 degrees Celsius with the humidex factor. We are still in May... Summer is officially here! Clearly, I had to wear shorts today. I would not have survived in pants... I decided on my navy sailor shorts and paired them with a bright turquoise tank, a colourful statement necklace and a neutral short-sleeved cardigan (for the office). I also wore my new taupe lace-up block-heel sandals. These are super cute, very comfortable and add that perfect bohemian flair to any summer look. Old Navy has them in another colour (here), but I love the neutral taupe. They will go with everything! Plus, I think they will transition well into early fall, seeing as taupe would go very well with the warmer fall palette. What temperature does it have to reach for you to wear shorts? Anything between 35 and 40 will do it for me!
