Soot Sprites

I haven't worn a good old black and white look in a while, so here's one! I started with my geometric-print A-line skirt and paired with a simple white sleeveless blouse with black trim. I then added black strappy espadrilles and pompom earrings. It's a very basic look, but I like it! Simple and functional were the name of the game today!

When I got to work, one of my colleagues pointed out that my earrings reminded her of the Soot Sprites in Totoro. You know what? She's so right! My brother used to make me watch that movie with him when we were kids and I vaguely remember the little black fuzzy dudes. I sent him a pictures of my earrings and he totally laughed! So, form here on out, these earrings will be known as my Soot Sprite earrings, I seriously can't get that association out of my head!
