Today's look is a very simple one. I call it a "soft nautical" because I omitted pops of red and the items are a subtle nod to the style without being overbearing. The colours are reminiscent to the traditional mariner striped tops while the button detailing on the shorts pays homage to traditional navy attire. I added a bit of feminine flare with the button-down cardigan, the white lace floral earrings and a gingham headband. I did go with a red lip, however, so I guess there was a bit of red in the look after all. I don't seem to tire of the nautical style and keep finding ways to reinvent and adapt it. It's good to have a go-to style for those days on which you are lacking inspiration!
