I decided to wear this casual outfit on a busy Saturday. I had a hair appointment to touch up my roots first thing in the morning, so I wanted to wear something casual. While my hair was in foils, I got a call from my partner. He was touching base with me to see if I would be interested in having a French couple over for dinner.
He had to elaborate, because I was a little confused. Turns out, his uncle, who spent a few months in Costa Rica this past winter, had befriended this couple who had befriended his aunt (from the other side of the family). This uncle is arriving back home in a couple days and we will be picking him up at the airport. The cool part is that his friends' travels has brought them to our neck of the woods and they have plans to stay with our uncle for a few days. All this to say that when speaking with his uncle, my partner thought it would be really fun to meet the people of whom his uncle spoke so fondly.
So we are having a couple of strangers, that we never met, over for dinner. Sure, I'm in! It was a very spontaneous thing to do, but we ended up having the most fabulous time and are so pleased we took the chance! We've befriended some amazing people and we really hope to connect with them some more. Looking back on how the scene was set for this meeting really amazes me. This is a day I will remember for a long time to come! It really is a small world!
