Night out in Black

I love any reason to get dressed up and the holidays provides plenty of occasions to do so! Finding just the right look can be a daunting task for some, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. I love putting together looks for specific outings. Today's outfit was worn for a family surprise party set at in a micro-brewery a couple weeks ago. I chose an all black look (adding interest by varying the textures and materials) with pops of red for accenting! I love that the details make this otherwise pretty basic look: the bold red lip, the glittery earrings, the subtle polka dot tights, the statement boots. I must also point out that I was having a good hair day, so that always helps! This just goes to say that a black turtleneck can go a very long way. Who knew it would be perfectly suited to evening wear?
