Warm Thoughts

We are now entering the gloomy part of fall. You know, the one where the wind has blown all the pretty leaves to the ground and the rain makes everything look dreary? It's that weird in-between-season monotony. The trees are bare and the leaves have turned to brown mush, but the snow hasn't arrived yet. We're lucky if the beautiful colours last till Halloween, so by this point, everything just looks blah. However, the somber days coincide with Remembrance Day, which is fitting. Truth be told, I'm trying to not go full-on Christmas until after November 11, out of respect. But, I'll admit I've dabbled a bit into the Christmas spirit these past few days. A girl needs some cheering up to get through this ho-hum mood!

I've also slowly started transitioning my wardrobe from fall to festive, starting with these shimmer pants! By pairing these brownish shiny pants with a rust sweater, I'm still keeping the vibe very much into autumn territory. Adding beige booties and a plaid blanket scarf just drives the point home. I also snuck in an ivory pearled headband, which is perfect for now and will wear well into the festive season and all winter long. How do you navigate seasonal transitions?
