Mimi Takes Five - #83

ONE // Deer Fair Isle Sweater
I fell in love with this sweater the minute I saw it on Talbot's Instagram back in November. I'm a sucker for Fair Isle sweaters and the little deer on this one have me swooning! I think the best part is that this sweater is not too festive and will be perfect to wear all winter long. The deer pattern and the more pastel shades make for a perfect, soft winter look. I did wear it over the Holidays, but will definitely be wearing it a lot more in the coming weeks.

TWO // Snowshoes
My husband gifted me fancy snowshoes for Christmas! They are all white and I absolutely love them! We did our small gift exchange before heading to the farm and I'm so glad we did. I added the snowshoes to my packing pile and we broke them in a couple days later. We strapped them on and headed for the fresh snow in my dad's fields. The weather was mild and overcast, perfect for snowshoeing without too much glare. We saw many different kinds of footprints including deer and hare tracks along with a deer bedding area! I had never seen one and it was quite the sight to come upon. We really enjoyed our little escapade and plan on snowing a lot this winter.

THREE // Puzzle
My mom gave us a puzzle this Christmas. She sure knows us well! I really enjoy puzzles, but I tend to get obsessed with them and will spend hours on end puzzling away until I finish it. Seeing as we had a few days off, we decided to bust out the new puzzle. After all, it is a beautiful wintry scene. It was definitely a tough one with its thousand pieces in multiple shades of blues... It took us the better part of three days (although I worked on the last two days on my own) to finish it. Sadly, I could never fully complete it as one single piece went missing. I'm still agonizing over that missing piece!

FOUR // December Ipsy Bag
I finally got my December Ipsy bag! The mail took forever in December and I only got it when we got back from the farm. I have to say, the thing I was looking forward to the most this month was the red lipstick. I'm a sucker for a good red pout, so was keen to try out this new shade. Besides, red lips are a must to finish off all my looks. I also got a few great travel basics such as a waterproof mascara and bronzer as well as a moisturizing lip balm. Add in a primer and a moisturizer and I'd say I'm all set for my upcoming winter escape!

FIVE // Reindeer Slippers
No casual Holiday style would be complete without a pair of cozy slippers. Bonus points if they are on theme! Haha! I take my slipper game seriously and couldn't resist these little reindeers with the glitter noses from Old Navy! They had other critter options, but these were perfect for the festive season. Besides, I can get away with wearing them all winter long because the noses aren't red! They are the perfect match to my reindeer sweater mentioned above!
