I don't typically wear much brown other than during fall, so this is a departure for me. I know brown is having a moment right now and perhaps that is why I'm inspired to reach for it and style it for spring. I know deep brown is a neutral and can serve as a grounding colour but I never think of it for late winter-early spring. I've been seeing it paired with light blue and butter yellow so decided I'd give it a go and style an outfit with my brown pants and bright purple sweater. Turns out I'm loving brown with pastels; who would have thought? I did keep the outfit more anchored into a winter palette with the taupe coat and blanket scarf, but the pop of colour sure is cheerful! Even my husband said he liked this colour combination when seeing my outfit this morning. I guess it stands out - in a good way!
