Frosty Flair

I typically think of jewelry as the frosting on the cake, the fun bit to any outfit. I also associate the word frosty with winter and it's shiny, twinkling snow and ice in the sunlight. There is something really spectacular about a wintery scene. I guess icicles could be considered some of nature's jewelry. Today's look is slightly inspired by the palette of a snowy setting. I opted for an icy grey cable knit sweater and layered it over a sheer polka-dot chiffon blouse. I then added the pièce de résistance, a full-on statement necklace! I just love how the dots remind me of snowflakes, while the necklace glimmers in a way the a blanket of snow would reflect in the sunlight. I finished off the look with some cozy purple velvet pants to offset the otherwise monochromatic palette. Grey boots completed the ensemble and I chose a similar neural palette of greys for the outdoor layers.
