Plaid & Puddles

Well, Mother Nature sure is keeping us one our toes lately... In the span of twenty four hours, we went from a high of 9 degrees Celsius to a low of -12 and experienced a flash freeze that turned the rain into snow and all of the puddles into ice. Upon hearing the forecast, I was actually at a bit of a loss on how to dress for the day. I started off with my trusty Hunter boots, because I felt they would keep me dry. I made sure to wear thick wool socks for a layer of heat as well. I then opted to wear a light shirt and layered a quilted vest over it. That way, I had a few layers to work with should I get too hot or too cold. This is a look I would more typically wear in the spring, but today was one of those wtf days, weather wise. I did carry (and used) an umbrella, wore more of a fall raincoat and added a thick blanket scarf and gloves as well. I swear, I carried an entire bag of extra outerwear just in case I needed it. Hopefully the forecast goes back to being more or so predictable. This daily dressing/guessing game would get old pretty quickly...
