Legging Layers

I guess today's look is also a winterized version of the nautical style. Seeing as this dress is on the shorter side, I paired it with leggings instead of tights because they are thicker and warmer. I also added a sweater because of the short sleeves. I've had this sweater for years and like how its empire waist layers well over the A-line dress. I also chose to wear knee-high socks and let them peek over the edge of my boots for added interest. They don't just look pretty though, the socks add a layer of warmth to my legs. I finished off with a navy bib necklace and stud earrings. It can get challenging dressing seasonally at this time of year, so sometimes, creative layering is key. It can really transform some of your summer favourites into completely new looks!
