Petal to the Metal

Fall blooms paired with golden metallic is a winning combination! A little bling in the day time is totally ok, I'm all for it! I dressed down the golden sequin tank with a denim jacket and went for the casual vibes with soft pants. I added some gold jewelry and nude wedges to complete the look. This outfit is edgy meets glam all done in a fall palette. What more could a girl need on a crisp fall morning? Ok, maybe a pumpkin spice latte...

Fall Flavour

The air is nippy and the leaves are changing colours, fall is definitely here! It can sometimes be hard to drag oneself out of bed on a Friday, especially when the days are getting shorter and the sun is not up yet... That is why I decided on wearing a PJ-like outfit. Soft pants, a loose, silky cami and a knitted overpiece where the perfect combination to get me through the day. I also opted for a fall colour palette with the oranges, reds and tans. Lace-up flats are as comfortable as slippers, but are way more on trend, so that was my go-to in the footwear department. This outfit can take you from work, straight to the couch for a Netflix marathon! There is no better way to ring in the weekend, (for hermits like me, anyways!)

Pyjama Party

This is my I-don't-feel-like-getting-dressed look. I have to go to work, but I can't wear my pjs... or can I? Yes, I can get away with wearing a pyjama-comfort level outfit without it being actual pjs. Soft pants are total heroes in this specific line of dressing. They are constructed and loose-fitting like pjs, but in more office-appropriate materials and patterns. I added a slouchy t-shirt to the mix, but picked a metallic one to distract a bit from the plainness factor and added a couple touches of gold with the jewelry and shoes. Flats are basically outdoor slippers, so that was a no-brainer add-on. So there you have it, a perfectly acceptable pyjama-inspired look for the office!

PJ Likeness

After the whirlwind that was last weekend, all I want to do this weekend is relax! Plus, I have to do a bit of catching up on laundry and a few shows. I really wanted to spend all day in my pj's, but I convinced myself to get dressed. I was clearly not venturing too far off the pj route though... A graphic tee and soft pants it is! This get-up would definitely be comfortable enough to sleep in, but is technically not pj's. Mission accomplished! Now, for a bit of laundry sorting and folding...

On The Road Again

Since all good things come to an end, it was time to go home. Another day spent in the car (after a couple late nights) definitely called for PJ-like clothes! I had packed a pair of black floral soft pants and a salmon-coloured slouchy sweater. I stuck with my trusty metallic plimsolls to complete the look. I was so proud of myself for only bringing one pair of shoes on this trip! This took a bit more effort in the planning phase. But I was happy to have flat shoes that were also interesting. What are your go-to travelling clothes?

P.S. Taking outfit pics when you are running on very little sleep makes for a lot of giggling!

Galaxy Chills

Don't mind me, just hangin' out in my soft pants. I traded in my usual skinny jeans for some galaxy-print soft pants this weekend. They are basically glorified pajamas, therefore appropriate lounging wear! The silky finish made me feel like I was wearing something fancy and glamorous. This was the perfect look for curling up with a good book (I can't seem to put it down lately!). Turns out it's also the perfect napping attire since, after a couple grueling hours of reading, I was in dire need of a power nap! What are weekends for anyways!

Soft Autumn

Perfectly pretty printed pants. Soft pants are the best invention since sliced bread! They are sooo comfortable, it's hard to believe they are meant for day wear. I fell in love with this pair from the moment I first laid eyes on them. They are the most fitting print for fall. The earth tones and wilting flowers are picture perfect. I really kept the theme going with a beige Henley and mustard camisole. I opted for taupe suede flats to keep with the overall feel of the look. I added my refurbished skeleton key pendant to add just the right amount of vintage charm. I can just picture myself walking on the sidewalk with the leaves crunching under my feet!

Soft Black

Some days just call for comfy attire. These soft pants are my go-to when I want to feel like I'm in my PJ's, yet am actually sitting in my office. I paired the pants with a high-low button-up blouse and threw on nude wedges and my trusty Panama hat. Wearing heels with soft pants will always dress them up and instantly make you look put together. Incognito lounge wear for the office = genius!

TBT - Less is More

Have I mentioned my slight obsession with graphic T's? I cannot get enough of these quirky message boards. It's the perfect way of wearing your emotions on your sleeve (or on your chest in this case). I'm someone who usually has something to say so, by wearing my statement, it saves me a few breaths! This particular shirt repeatedly says "Less is more" and ends with "More please". I love the irony! Not only do graphic t-shirts help spread your sense of humor, but they are also great conversation starters! Going along with the message, I paired the shirt with a busy pant, a statement necklace, fancy booties and a leather jacket. I took the "More please" to heart!

Soft Floral

This was a casual Friday look. I chose to wear soft pants with a loose top for comfort and added a fun blazer and heels to give the outfit structure. Top it off with a string of black pearls and voilà, you are both comfortable and presentable! Soft pants are a great alternative to wearing sweats or yoga pants because they are a bit more polished without sacrificing the comfort factor. I have a couple pairs and love them! They are great for travelling, lounging, running errands and much, much more! Looking good or being comfortable? You should not have to pick between the two!
