Prints a Plenty

Another winter day, another layered look. I decided to have a bit of fun today and mix colourful prints. I started off with this burgundy, teal and mustard plaid shirt and paired it with my gold polka dot pants. I like the shimmer these pants add to the outfit and the gold picks up on the mustard in the shirt. I finished off with a long open burgundy cardigan sweater to warm up the final look. Layers are a must in the colder months, but that does not mean your look has to be boring. I like having fun with the different dimensions layering can bring to a look. Different colours and patterns also come into play and bring their own unique spin to an outfit. Seeing as the cold front is back, I decided to wear my new grey puffer coat. It's a birthday gift from my mom, she knows my style so well! Plus, as a mom, she's always making sure I dress warmly. I love that about her, always looking out for me! I'm sure I'll get great use out of this coat in the weeks to come. Thanks mommy!
